Use the Probably Stolen wanted customers table below to compare each target's base bounty before you decide what to do at the counter. The figures come from the Nico Kobo wiki, probablystolen.fit, probablystolenguide.com, ShowGamer and All Things How. Where they disagree, the table says so.

Probably Stolen wanted targets and their base bounties

Most sources agree on each figure. Juan is the one exception: probablystolen.fit lists 75 credits, while the Nico Kobo wiki, ShowGamer and All Things How list 125. The table shows 125 and notes the difference. The names follow the spellings on the board, including “The Butcher,” “Odin Haraldsson” and “Li Bei Wen.”

What reporting a wanted customer pays

Reporting a wanted customer pays the listed bounty after trait adjustments, and each successful report adds 5 Security reputation, according to the Nico Kobo wiki. The probablystolenguide.com guide describes the +5 as the base value before trait and difficulty modifiers are applied.

Your starting perk changes the payout. Model Citizen raises wanted rewards by 50% and gives 30 extra Security reputation at the start; Convict cuts them by 25% and starts you with 30 less. For Lou, that means 2,250 credits with Model Citizen and 1,125 credits with Convict, per ShowGamer.

  • Wrongful report: you lose 8 Security reputation, and you may be fined 50 credits if your balance is at least 100 credits (ShowGamer).
  • Stolen goods and contraband: reporting these pays a base 50 credits, plus a per-item amount that depends on the goods (ShowGamer).

How to get the trade value and bounty

Trade with a wanted customer before you report them, and you collect both the goods value and the bounty, according to probablystolen.fit. To report, check the visitor against the Wanted poster, then press and hold the teal Call Security button under the counter for about half a second and wait for the officers to arrive (ShowGamer).

A visitor you let leave is not fined. The next morning's Nightly Report can say a wanted criminal came in the day before, but you cannot go back and arrest them then (ShowGamer).

When the wanted customers visit

The schedule below follows ShowGamer.

  • Arthur Lafleur: Day 3, if you played the introduction.
  • Odin Haraldsson: Day 10 after a normal introduction, or Day 2 if you skipped it.
  • Lou: only after you buy the Business Permit.
  • Random visits start on Day 14 after the introduction, or Day 5 if you skipped it. The random pool is James Bailey, The Butcher, Arthur Lafleur, Li Bei Wen, Juan, John Smith and Leroy.
  • The chance of a random wanted visit starts at 4% the day after the last one and rises by 2 points each day. After 16 days without one, the next visit is guaranteed.

Wanted poster, arrests and wrongful reports

Officer Lun hands you the Wanted poster on Day 1, as the last customer in the queue, and shows you the reporting button. The poster lists nine criminals with their bounty amounts, and you can open it from your inventory at any time (ShowGamer). Keep it handy. Arrivals are unpredictable, so keeping the Probably Stolen wanted customers poster open through the run is more reliable than checking it only when someone looks suspicious.

When a criminal is arrested, their photograph is crossed out on the poster. The Security tab in the run summary counts Wanted Criminals Caught out of nine, and a separate Wrongful Reports figure tracks your mistakes (ShowGamer). Some criminals react to the alarm or try to talk you out of reporting them, but no further action is needed once the report is accepted.

Each wrongful report costs 8 Security reputation. The game warns you at the third wrongful report that the consequences will become severe, and at the fourth that the next false accusation leads to arrest. One wrongful report is forgiven every five days (ShowGamer).

The Snitches Get Riches achievement asks for ten wanted customers reported across your runs. The main poster has nine names, and extra visitors such as Georgio can also pay bounties (ShowGamer).

Our take on Probably Stolen wanted customers

Read the Probably Stolen wanted customers board as two facts per name: who is wanted and the base bounty beside them. Lou pays the most and Arthur Lafleur the least, but the perk you start with can move any payout up or down. Before you report, compare the face with the poster. A wrong report costs reputation and credits, so a sure identification beats a fast click.
